Have you ever bought a cell phone and wondered, ‘Is this really the mobile device I need?’’ Typically, when someone goes to purchase a cell phone, they usually ask that question. Often, they will ask an associate, or someone who they assume knows the answer ‘What makes this phone better than the others?’’  or ‘’ Which phone will handle my needs in this field?’’

Or simply, ”What is the top cell phone?”

You will no longer need to settle for opinions and experience stories. I am here to make your job easier, and less of a mental struggle. And the only way that I can do so is with solid statistics and unquestionable facts. Are you ready? Let’s go.

Category #1. Speed

In terms of quickness, ability to navigate without lag, switching between apps etc.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is the winner here.

It has a benchmark speed of 6,469. With the Samsung Galaxy S7 coming in 2nd with 6,466. You can check out other phone speeds here http://www.phonearena.com/phones/benchmarks

Category #2. Camera Megapixels

Cell phone camera megapixels does not mean how good a photo looks, megapixels deal with when you have zoomed in, and how clear and crisp it still is.

The Nokia Lumina 1020 is the clear winner here. There are plenty of cell phone cameras that have great quality, but this one truly holds the title as ”Top mobile camera” and It comes loaded with a whopping 41 megapixels!

It’s great for presentations, slideshows, big screen televisions, and more. So, no matter where you are, you will always capture life’s best.

Category #3. Weight

This is a touchy topic, here’s why. This is where most of the unknown cell phone brands try to merge their way into the ”Top cell phone” competition, by having one specific thing that greatly stands above all.  In this case, weight is the factor here.

Most brand name smartphones; Apple, Samsung, Windows, LG etc. Most of them come with plenty more to offer than the typically unknown brands, which then often leads to a heavier phone. Surprisingly, this phone has decent specifications. Enough is enough, here is your winner.

The Oppo N1 Mini has this wrapped up by a landslide.

It weighs in at 9.2 grams, it’s as if your touching, swiping, and typing on air. It is a Chinese manufactured product, so good luck trying to find it at your local Best Buy. Although eBay does have a small stock for them, so it’s still a good day. To see a larger list, head on over to http://www.insidermonkey.com/

Category #4. Smallest and Largest in size

This would be a determining factor if you tend to have your phone in your pocket often, or if you simply want to stand out. Now I don’t want this list to get out of hand with finger size cell phones, or monitor size phones. So, I am only going to give you the largest and smallest out of the brand name selection.

Smallest-  The winner here, is the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact with a 4.6in screen

Largest-    The winner here, is the BLU Studio 7.0 with a 7in screen.

Whatever your decision is, just remember; it’s the cell phones performance that makes it great.

Category #5. Battery Life

We’ve all experienced our phone dying on us, or forgetting to charge it overnight at some point. You may not have that problem anymore with this phone. No, I am not going to give you a phone with unlimited battery life that will never need a charge, but I will give a phone that brings you as close to that fantasy as possible.

With a 3,510mAh battery, the Moto Z Play is the clear winner here. That is roughly 23 hours of battery life. Forget your charger at home? No worries, you’ll be fine. This is one specific quality that I look for when researching the top smartphones on the market. Very key.

Category 6, Finally. Screen Resolution

This is a category with multiple winners, so let’s get down to business. To see who comes in 2nd, 3rd etc. check out this link. http://us.phonegg.com/top/35-Highest-Display-Resolution

As a phone owner, possible buyer, you of course would appreciate a display that is breathtaking while streaming, gaming, texting, tweeting, etc. There are plenty of phones that delivers a crisp display and great quality… But none greater than these 3.

The Winners are: Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Samsung Galaxy S8 (2017) and the Sony Xperia Z5.

I hope that I have been a great help. Please keep these facts in mind while shopping for the top mobile devices . Best Wishes.
