Below is a quick report on the basic overview of the user and traffic acquisition and the landing page engagement of learningcomputer.com. We will dive into some basic observations as well as recommendations and resources that may serve as inspiration for your next Google Analytics report.
Executive Summary
The website attracts a predominantly new audience (94.4%), with organic search comprising 72.2% of all traffic, followed by direct and referral sources. India accounts for over half of total users, showing strong engagement and low bounce rates, while U.S. users display weaker retention. Microsoft Office tutorials, specifically function-based Word tutorials, dominate top-performing pages. Additionally, high-engagement referral traffic from sources like wake-up-network.com helps to boost our numbers. Despite this, average engagement per session is only over one minute, return visits are low across most landing pages, and several high-traffic pages suffer from high bounce rates.
Quick definition: bounce rates represent the percent of sessions, or users, that did not have an engaged session. Engaged sessions meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Lasts longer than ten seconds.
- Has a key event, or a desired interaction with the page.
- Has 2 or more screen or page views.

- India represents 51.9% of total users
- USA has an unusual low number of returning users compared to the total users (5.12% of returning, while 13.9% of total)
- India has a high engagement, high event count, returning users, and a lower bounce rate.
Below is a map of where our primary users are from, scaled to based on the percent they represent of our users.

Things to think about: Why are we getting so much traffic from Asian countries? How can we cater to our audience in India? How can we expand our English audience?
User Acquisition Over Time
Patterns over time indicate the following trend lines with basic user sources:
- Organic search has slowed over time until April, where it began to climb slowly since, only being passed briefly by direct traffic in April.
- Direct traffic has remained constant except for two big peaks in November 2024 and April 2025.
- Referral traffic has smaller peaks but has grown over time; surpassing Direct traffic briefly in June.
More patterns and trends within specific user source/mediums include:
- A high peak with wake-up-network.com, only seen in June, with a total of 2,726 users.
- YouTube steadily slows down by approximately 300 users per month.
- A miniscule addition of referral traffic from Google’s AI assistant, Gemini
Things to think about: How can we further utilize wake-up-network? Why has YouTube slowed recently? How can we take advantage of the AI train, and get our website referred to by ChatGPT?

- Average engagement time per session of 4 minutes and 16 seconds, 3 minutes higher than the next highest.

Traffic Acquisition
Sessions & Engagement
Quick facts:
- Engagement from referral traffic is 80.9%, and bounce rate is 19.1%
- The average engagement session is approximately 1 minute
- Bounce rate on average is 43.7%
User source traffic offers these statistics as well:
- Engagement from organic video is 71.1%, and bounce rate is 28.9%
- Gemini accounts for .51% of traffic
- Engagement rate is highest with referrals from the website wake-up-network.com, with an additional average of 4 minutes per session and .2% bounce rate
Referral traffic has a high engagement and event count for the website: with a low bounce rate, high engagement, but a low average engagement time, these users are interacting with the page and navigating within it. These trends can be seen similarly with organic video traffic.
Traffic Acquisition Over Time
- ChatGPT has had 8 referrals in the last month
- A large spike in direct traffic occurred on April 16th.
- Organic traffic has been on a slow incline for the last 4 months.
- The average engagement session went from an average of 1 minute for the past year to 48 seconds for the past month.
Things to think about: How can we increase our website’s presence in AI? How can we mimic past spikes in traffic? How can we increase our traffic?
Landing Page Engagement
Views
- Six out of the top ten pages are Word Tutorials, accounting for 49.1% of total sessions.
- The active users is only .65% higher than the sessions for the home page.
- Scrolled users for the home page is 56.3%
- Word tutorial pages, and Microsoft tutorial pages, are extremely popular within the last year.
Additionally, there is very little return traffic to the top performing pages. This is most likely due to the nature of the pages, being tutorials, but is still low even for the home page.
Engagement
- Average engagement time per session for the Windows-10-Guide page is at 22 seconds, 49 seconds less than total average engagement time.
- All tutorial pages have an average of approximately 1 minute and 11 seconds.
- Bounce rate is highest with the Windows-10-Guide with 49.5% and the home page with 45.5%.
- Bounce rate is extremely high for the contact page, at 65.6%
Engagement is low for important, event-based pages such as the contact page and the home page. Users may have difficulty navigating these pages. Tutorial pages have high engagement and are worthwhile to invest into.
Top Performing Pages
As described earlier, tutorials have the highest traffic, with Microsoft tutorials accounting for 20 of the top 25 best-performing pages. Microsoft Word accounts for 10 of those! Other statistics include:
- Tutorials by version have an engagement time of approximately 32 seconds, while tutorials by function have an engagement time of 1 minute and 7 seconds.
- Excluding the top 11 pages, engagement drops down to an average of 35 seconds.
- Contact page has the lowest engagement, with 20 seconds
Engagement is higher with function-based tutorials, and very low with version-based tutorials and the contact page.
Things to think about: Do these pages need revamping? What UX and UI tips can we take from the better-performing pages?

Recommendations & Further Resources
Organic search and referral traffic, like wake-up-network.com, cause high performance, with Microsoft and Word tutorials as the top-performing content. In addition, high-traffic pages like the contact and home page underperform due to short engagement times and high bounce rates. Users from India show high engagement with the content as compared to U.S. counterparts. YouTube traffic is also slowing, but AI referrals are emerging as a growth opportunity.
Recommendations:
- Improve UX and content on high-traffic, low-engagement pages.
- Expand partnerships with high-engagement referral sources like wake-up-network.com.
- Revamp YouTube traffic through more uploads and strategic linking to top tutorials.
- Increase AI referral traffic and presence on AI platforms.
